Additionally, again, I think I've pinpointed it a bit more (same bug?): it seems to crash when it tries to open read only files. It should not need to open these files as read-write.
Also, can someone change the status of my bug? -- Since upgrade to Karmic (9.10), Rhythmbox occasionally freezes during mp3 playback.
