Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: synaptic

I use all four of the Official Canonical Repositories (main, universe,
restricted, multi-verse), plus four third party Repositories (partner,
medibuntu, google, wine). In checking Synaptic to determine just how my
Adobe Flash software is updated, I can't easily determine just which
repository is responsible for updating this package whenever
appropriate.

As a mainframe dinosaur, I'm sure that you will tell me that my problem
is a 'feature' (or lack thereof) instead of a bug. If so, I'll just
grumble if you forward this report to the 'blueprint' part of launchpad
without my having to retype the whole damn thing!
