I'm also seeing this problem with processes going uninterruptible, and it looks like my dual-core CPU is not getting utilized either.
The Gnome Windows Manager is completely unusable -- keeps temporarily freezing when I move windows around. I suspect that's related to this issue of processes going uninterruptible.
