This only happened when I upgraded from ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 -- before
then, everything was fine.
I insert a DVD in to my second DVD ROM and I no longer see a mount icon
on the desk top. Applications that read the DVD ROMs can access the DVD
in the drive. It seems as if ubuntu can't see it.
