Binary package hint: usplash
This is a 1920x1200 LCD panel (laptop). usplash.conf has xres=640 and
yres=480. Laptop seems to boot in that resolution but as you can see on
the attached picture, the progress bar is not centered. There are no
special kernel parameters to specify the resolution and the kernel is
2.6.20-9-generic. usplash is 0.4-43
