I have the same problem on Ubuntu Intrepid. Roots cron is not running and I dont get any errors in my log. Here is my crontab. I edit the file using sudo crontab -e -u root
# m h dom mon dow command 45 07 * * * /sbin/shutdown -h now >> /home/poweruser/cron.log 2>&1 0/1 * * * * /usr/sbin/ntpdate clock.psu.edu >> /home/poweruser/cron.log 2>&1 There is a newline at the end of the file. This is a really frustrating problem as I don't see any errors in /var/log/syslog related to why the crontab is not running. I see that 'at' and 'cron' are indeed running. Can somebody please tell me where else I should be looking to debug this problem -- root's crontab not running https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112355 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
