Indeed it should not be in Apps->System Tools, we do not use this
category.

IMHO a default desktop application should not have the menu item in the
first place, though. We don't even expect users to use the Terminal,
much less explain them what "screen" is.

I think the "recommends: byobu" for screen is too much. Recommends means
"you really need that unless you know what you are doing"
(http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-
relationships.html#s-binarydeps), which is clearly not the case here:
screen works just fine without byobu. So I propose that this gets
dropped, and instead added to the server seeds?

As a fallback alternative, the menu entry (i. e. desktop file) could be
NoDisplay=True, and then interested folks could enable the menu entry in
the menu editor. That's a bit hard to discover, though, so it might be
easier to install the package if you want to use byobu on a desktop?
