I'm having the NO SOUND issue again- Dec 23- 09.. Actually, I have not had sound for quite a while now- making due. This happened again after I allowed update to new Operating System of Ubuntu. Sound card- Creative Sound Blaster 4832 ,speakers plugged in, all muting plus speakers turned on "checked". All ok there... But NO SOUND. Perhaps someone has some ideas on how to resolve this matter again. Tks. Al
