Public bug reported:

This is a general issue with suspend resume failures which worked
perfectly in 9.04 up until the month of September (approximately) before
I upgraded my system to 9.10.

Could this have something to do with my upgrading my (separate) root
partition from 9.04 to 9.10?

I do notice on boot up that there are now usually errors on partition
1251251251lj15h1lk45h1k45jh(ID number) not being ready to mount.

This happens on almost every boot now but most reboots are due to
suspend failure.. However I still see them on clean restarts due to my
shutting down for a kernal upgrade or booting into another OS partition.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from
resuming properly.
