Just reproduced this when trying to help a friend install Ubuntu. Started with an empty 160GB drive, no partitions listed. Created a Linux partition and formatted with ext4 but the same problem.
Using installer, `cat /var/log/installer/version` shows ubiquity 2.0.8 fdisk -l is below: Disk /dev/sda: 163.9 GB, 163928604672 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 19929 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Disk identifier: 0x6c9fb103 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 1 19929 160079661 83 Linux testdisk.log attached (generated from testdisk in Universe) ** Attachment added: "testdisk.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/37092019/testdisk.log -- partitioner does not show partitions during install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/297492 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
