Its working now :) Thanks TundraMan and shadowfoxx. In my Lenovo-300 Y410, I had to set "Node [0x19] Pin" VREF to 50 to make the microphone to work. Also, I kept Val[0] and Val[1] to '0' to reduce noise. I'm happy that I need not reboot to windows just to make skype and gtalk calls.
