The problem is that netbeans conf file contains information about jdk it uses to run. When you uninstalled openjdk and installed sun jdk you had to update /usr/share/netbeans/6.7.1/etc/netbeans.conf file to point to the sun jdk. I agree it is not obvious I'll try to fix it for the next release. Sorry for late response.
