Hi Kyle,
The bug you're experiencing has been fixed in our beta PPA and has been
submitted as an update to the package available in Karmic. I'll mark
this as a duplicate so you can follow.
The fix has made it to our beta PPA. If you follow the steps in the
following FAQ you should be able to try out this new fix:

Status in “ubuntuone-client” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client
After coming out of suspend, clicking on the cloud icon on the menu and
selecting 'connect' does nothing. I also tried main menu -> Places -> Ubuntu
One and tried to connect in the folder, but it gives only a grayed out
'Connecting' and never connects.
Connecting through the web interface works fine.
