I was just reading this Italian site http://guiodic.wordpress.com/2009/12/05/linux-2-6-32-per-ubuntu-karmic-koala-nel-guiodic-repository/ Translated to English in Google apparently the 2.6.32 Kernal does not work with ATI or Nvidia proprietary drivers unless you update to Nvidia 190.42. Don't know about ATI drivers as I have a Nvidia. I guess I will try that tomorrow.
