Public bug reported:

After connecting an usb stick, the device seems to be recognized as usual, but
copy operations fail after 100 to 1000 MiB
with the kernel logging
usb 1-5: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
usb 1-5: device descriptor read/64, error -32 etc.

+ This happens with four different USB sticks with capacities ranging from 4 to
16 GiB, formatted with FAT32 and NTFS.
+ This bug is filed with ubuntu-bug linux started immediately after the usb
reset and file transfer abort occured.
+ Removed USB stick after apport completed
+ In addition, I started following the Instructions in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingRemovableDevices and
plugged the USB stick a second time, the attached files are from the second
attempt. I attempted no file transfers
   while following DebuggingRemovableDevices.
