Public bug reported:

aac decoding is not possible with xine based players due to it's removal from 
libxine1-ffmpeg.
>From the install file of libxine1-ffmeg in your current xine-lib

If the intention that it was to be provided by libavcodec then it's not.

Meanwhile gstreamer does provide aac decoding.
