I gave it a shot, tested with totem, hamster, fullscreen eye-of-gnome, with - screensaver - screen blanking - automatic suspend/sleep/whatever ...and it works! Great! :) On a side note, I did have the impression that my netbook (also running 9.10, but not running hamster applet) also sometimes had a problem with session idling, suggesting the possible presence of *yet another* bug on top of all this, but maybe it was just my imagination; I am not really qualified enough to investigate that. Time will tell, or maybe Chris Coulson knows about "other" session idling problems? In any case, the most visible part of this bug is fixed by the (not optimal, but working) hamster patch. It feels all warm and fuzzy to finally have working session idling again. -- idle/screensaver inhibition feature doesn't work reliably in karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/448438 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
