Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-restricted-extras
Actually a dup of this bug, only difference is that it's in lucid. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-restricted-extras/+bug/462366 If there is no intention of 'fixing', then a short explanation as to why not will suffice. To think that this isn't causing confusion for users, well it is and will continue to do so in lucid. It would probably be better served if u-r-e was split into 2 packages, one that installed the restricted codecs and plug-ins, the other that installed the nonfree apps ** Affects: ubuntu-restricted-extras (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ubuntu-restricted-extras installs 'stripped' ffmpeg libs in lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/494745 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
