Binary package hint: alsa-utils
After each boot on Ubuntu Lucid the sound is muted. It appears as mute
in the "sound preferences" and alsa mixer. Similar bugs in previous
versions of Ubuntu have pointed to problems with the /etc/init.d/alsa-
utils start up script, but that doesn't exist anymore - It seems to be
done by upstart.
