When performing updates and package installations, I consistently
receive an error to the effect that

Errors were encountered while processing:

E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
A package failed to install. Trying to recover:

dpkg: error processing lmms-vst (--configure):

I have tried several posted solutions, but non have resolved this error. Since
I have tried reinstalling wine and seem to have the most current version (and
it works) I have not posted this error previously (particularly since I am new
to linux usage and have read through the posts that wine itself is not
supported software). However, now I feel overlooking this prior error may
affect further package installs or upgrades. I am aware that the wine software
can be buggy on 64-bit OS--is this the problem, or are the errors unrelated?
Thanks for your attention
