I've discovered the exact cause for the animation failure. Steps to reproduce:
1. Activate Animations plugin. 2. Activate Group And Tab Windows plugin. 3. Tab two windows together. 4. Hover over the title bar of grouped windows and drag a Window away causing them to un-tab. 5. Animations stop working. ** Description changed: Binary package hint: compiz Ubuntu 9.10 This is just a visual thing, not a big deal. But I noticed that if I enable Tab & Groups Window plugin in Compiz, Some animations fail. For - example fading and dodging. Log off and log on are required to fix the - animations. + example fading and dodging. Complete restart of Compiz is required to + repair.
