default - ubuntu repository - pulseaudio caused me problem, that flash in firefox has no sound. i read all forums on the internet and no help. so doing trick with the latest pulseaudio (in ubuntu, you have to wait half year - holly marry - for upgrade except backports) results in working sound in flash. isn't PPA solve developers of pulseaudio if you ask this? and yes, unfortunatelly, my stuttering problem was the same in previous (ubuntu) pulseaudio.
