xdg describes the category as "Small utility application."  I don't
think this really fits the description of Player.  While System Tools
isn't great, it's the closest fit I think.

The category hasn't really been removed from Ubuntu.  All the programs
that were under that category were simply hidden from the default
install (eg gconf-editor).  Since Player isn't installed by default, I
think it's ok to use this category.
