No, but I:

a) haven't installed 9.10, and won't unless it's the next long-term
release. I suppose it must be, but I keep after my updates (none
available at the moment) and haven't seen anything about it. I guess
9.10 must be next if long term versions are on an 18 month cycle; duh.
I'll try that, but won't have time for a couple of weeks.

b) suspect OOo rather than Ubuntu because I've had the same problem at
work, on Windows XP and Vista with OOo 1.6 - 3.0. I've filed lots of
crash reports through OOo's automatic report wizard, but never heard a
word from them except "thanks for filing."

More specifically, I suspect that OOo chokes on something to do with
tables in some pasted web pages. I don't know how to test that, but
when / if I get a problem page to paste, save, and reopen, it often
turns out to have many, nested, or otherwise complicated tables.

Today, I got an error message I'd never seen instead of the usual
wizard, so I used the Help menue's bug report link. I assumed it would
lead to the wizard, or another path into OOo's bug stomping operation,
so I was surprised that it led to Ubuntu.

I hoped the report would be helpful and thank you for getting back to
me.

Best,

George
