Same problem here: karmic powerbook5,2. Power management seams to work inconsistently (settings not retained after reboot). Fan at full speed (fine in 9.04 and with the karmic live cd). Disabling the therm_adt746x module stops the fan, but I'm not sure whether is safe… Any hope that this bug will be taken care?
