i'm using kubuntu karmic now and many devices (actually for me all other
than usb sticks) don't work when they were plugged in before startup.
when i unplug them and put them in they work fine (only when waiting
about seconds though). they do show up when using lsusb even if not
working. this didn't happen with jaunty. the strange that on my laptop
which also tuns karmic doesn't do this (with the same usb devices). i
don't know exactly what information to give so this can be fixed though.
