Public bug reported:
"Google Gears" could not be installed because it is not compatible with
your Firefox build type (Linux_x86_64-gcc3). Please contact the author
of this item about the problem.
I want to install the Google Gears to firefox, but upon downloading i got "
incompatible extension" error giving the above mention report. Guide me how can
install the extension to use off line services. I am using ubuntu 8.04, which
uses Firefox 1.9.0.15 .
Reinstallation of the Google Gears does not help. The problem has been around
for a few months.
Is there a workaround?
