To keep from forcing a restart, I press the "Log in with a different
user" (not sure about exact verbiage at the moment). This brings me to
a different login screen with more features. I can pull up an on-screen
keyboard where I can use my mouse to type in my password to get back to
my desktop. However, my keyboard is still disabled even once logged in.
>From this point I have to do a full "Log Out" which closes all my open
applications. Once fully logged out my keyboard becomes fully active
again. I am able to log back in, but all my programs have been closed.
