For anyone using the CD ISO I prepared for ACER ASPIRE 5315, please follow these choices when booting:
1.- Choose "1) Continue to boot FreeDOS from CD-ROM". 2.- Choose "1) Install to harddisk using FreeDOS SETUP". That will take you to the prompt on X: unit. The trick is that the file "setup.bat" is modified so it ends prematurely and doesn't install anything. If you abort the installation, it will show you the prompt in the A: unit, and you won't be able to access the bios directory. Once you are in the X: prompt, you can change to the directory called "firm" and execute the file "if50.bat". I hope everything is clear now, I should be more explicit in the explanation. -- CPU cooling fan does not start at all https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/451337 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
