Thank you for informing me about the specification of ibus-anthy. Please let me add another discussion point. I had used Ubuntu 9.04 and scim-anthy on the same box, and "convert_to_half" of scim-anthy works like the "expected" method I wrote last time.
Summary is ibus-anthy : F9 wide latin + F8 half = half latin scim-anthy : F9 wide latin + F8 half = half katakana These are different packages, but I wish there were same userbility.
