Public bug reported: Binary package hint: sound-juicer
sound-juicer in up-to-date lucid (2.28.0-1) has the following behavior: sound-juicer correctly detects the cd, and lists all the tracks. When extracting however, it will correctly rip X-1 tracks, and then on track X it will behave as if it is extracting it, but it never succeeds (for many hours) and never reports an error. The value of X depends on the CD (and indeed only some CDs were problematic). This was tried across three newly bought, not visibly scratched problematic CDs, and several rips of each. The behavior is consistent (X only depends on the CD, it does not change from rip to rip). It also is consistent across two different CD drives. When trying to skip the track in question (unchecking it in sound-juicer before extraction), say, track X+1 rips to the latter part of the CD (track X - end). I've tried an older version of sound-juicer (2.26.x) and it displays the same behavior. rhythmbox will only display the first X tracks. Ripping from cdparanoia works just fine. gvfs's cdda mount also lists all the tracks (and playing later ones with aplay works). ** Affects: sound-juicer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- sound-juicer unable to rip all tracks https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/489699 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
