Public bug reported: Upon successful connection to a WiFi access point, the signal strength meter on the top panel does not always show the strength of the connection. This does not affect the ability to use the wireless network.
The signal meter works appropriately on most access points, but not on the two Linksys WPA2-enabled access points I've been able to test with - instead, it displays no signal. Bug is consistent in Ubuntu 9.10 (Netbook Remix) and Ubuntu 9.04 (Netbook Remix). Wireless card: 01:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g (rev 01) This is a low priority defect, as it's only the visual display of signal information that doesn't work; the network features work well. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- WiFi wireless signal strength meter indicates no connection with some hotspots on karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/488402 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
