Hi Joshua, I have managed to sort it just before you replied.
I removed Ubuntu One and deleted all of its config files. I then reset my default browser from Opera to Firefox. I reinstalled Ubuntu One and was able to authenticate. I could then reset my default browser back to Opera. Seems to me that Ubuntu One does not like to authenticate on anything other than Firefox, which is strange as I was able to authenticate via Opera on another machine.
