I can confirm that I have the issue in Karmic with the GAL. I was unsure to begin with which format the GAL server should take. If on the LAN with the server then I assume its <exchangeserverhostname.yourlocaldomain.local> with no protocol specified. If offsite then I don't know what to use and suspect there would be port issues, firewall etc. Either way I haven't had any success. I always get "Error loading address book". It was the same with Jaunty. My username and password has never changed and all other aspects of Evolution Exchange work well as long as I don't use cached mode (local copy).
