just did the regular ubuntu update, which has the new kernel: 2.6.31-15-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Tue Nov 10 14:53:52 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Still I cannot suspend my macbook pro 4,1. I've tried as well to add SLEEP_MODULE="uswsusp" to /etc/pm/config.d/00sleep_module but this did resolve the issue. What _did_ change is that with the uswsusp module set in this file the screen goes blank as usual, but it comes back with the console login and a flickering prompt. It is still stuck at this point: no keyboard/mouse/lid/powerbutton interaction will work and I am forced to turn the laptop off by keeping the powerbutton pressed for several seconds. Could someone explain which route is followed for a suspend action? I just found there's a (conflicting?) script /etc/acpi/suspend.d/50-wicd-suspend.sh There seem be many possibilities to do a suspend and there's still several "hal" files on my computer, so I'm a bit lost with hal/pm/uswsusp/acpi/udev/dbus and possible kernel options to test. -- ubuntu 9.10 doesn't resume after sleep macbook pro 4,1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/478361 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
