I can also confirm this bug with the official release on my laptop (Compaq nx9005)
$ apt-cache policy grub-pc grub-pc: Installed: 1.97~beta4-1ubuntu4 Candidate: 1.97~beta4-1ubuntu4 Version table: *** 1.97~beta4-1ubuntu4 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com karmic-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1.97~beta4-1ubuntu3 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages I can't run windows XP at all as I can't select the option in grub. I had a previous install of ubuntu 9.04 on this laptop that the upgrade process completely trashed, so this is a clean install. Not at all happy with ubuntu at this point! Is there any work-around for this bug at all? If not it's pretty close to being a show-stopper for me. -- Unable to use keyboard in grub after successful karmic install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391346 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
