I should have looked more severely to older problems with akonadi. Bug #365124 gives under msg #3 the following advice: "sudo /etc/init.d/apparmor stop". When running kontact afterwards, I got the message that the migration was done OK. To be sure, I ran the following commands, according to an advice of http://userbase.kde.org/Akonadi: sudo aa-complain mysqld sudo /etc/init.d/apparmor reload And now my problem is gone. Kubuntu boots properly and kontakt starts without any delaying akonadi message. Thank you Harald Sitter.
