Thank you! It was obvious it was that package missing!Who knows what I'm thinking sometimes:-) Now it works!
In any case I've installed python-qt3 with: sudo apt-get install python-qt3 this package wasn't installed before. Could you check if it's installed when the control center with HPlip toolbox is installed first time? Like this we can assure nobody has this (silly) problem.
