BTW: On the Dell Latitude D630 laptop, an error message "An unknown error occurred while Suspend to RAM. The errorcode is: '1'" is shown after unlocking the screen after resume. The window title is "Error while Suspend to RAM - KPowersafe". I have attached (the last part of) the log file /var/log/pm-suspend.log. Maybe this helps you to find the cause of the problem.
