Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
My /etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf file had a reference to a missing plugin in its [plugins] section. So I got an error about "plugin missing" in my /var/log/daemons.log And because of this networkmanager resets my hostname to "localhost" WTF? Networkmanager MUST NEVER EVEN TOUCH my hostname. It is simply NOT UP TO NETWORKMANAGER to mess with my hostname. It's none of its business. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Networkmanager resets the hostname to "localhost" if there is a missing plugin https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/486908 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
