Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

My /etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf file had a reference to a
missing plugin in its [plugins] section.
So I got an error about "plugin missing" in my /var/log/daemons.log
And because of this networkmanager resets my hostname to "localhost"

WTF?

Networkmanager MUST NEVER EVEN TOUCH my hostname. It is simply NOT UP TO
NETWORKMANAGER to mess with my hostname. It's none of its business.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
