Hi Thomas, thanks for reporting this!
There is currently an unfortunate lag between registering with Ubuntu
One and being able to replicate your desktopcouch databases with the
service. This is being worked on, but it may be what caused these errors
for you. If that is the case, they should have stopped occurring by now,
as I believe couchdb is updated with the new users every half hour or
so. Could you confirm whether replication now started working? If it
hasn't, then we've run into another, unknown bug, and I will need to
investigate further.
