Hi probably didn't explain it very well. Basically I'm totally new to Ubuntu. Once installed all appeared well until I went on line and tried to stream some music.
Keep getting a request to install an Adobe Flash Player plugin. Clicked on the link, went to the Adobe flash player website and downloaded the version for Ubuntu. On trying to install the package the error message keeps popping up " the package may be corrupted or you are not allowed to open the file" Tried deleting the package then downloading it again in case it was corrupted but keep getting the same error message. Then tried listening to some MP3's using the rhythmbox player all that happens is there is a click through the speakers then get an error message that the required flash plug in is not installed, manually re-install it and try again. Confused?? 2009/11/17 Daniel T Chen <seven.st...@gmail.com> > Please clarify your problem summary and description; they are confusing. > > On Nov 17, 2009 6:50 AM, "grumpy2712" <repeatallaf...@gmail.com> wrote: > > > ** Attachment added: "AlsaDevices.txt" > http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35780756/AlsaDevices.txt > > ** Attachment added: "AplayDevices.txt" > http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35780757/AplayDevices.txt > > ** Attachment added: "ArecordDevices.txt" > http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35780758/ArecordDevices.txt > > ** Attachment added: "BootDmesg.txt" > http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35780759/BootDmesg.txt > > ** Attachment added: "Card0.Amixer.values.txt" > http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35780760/Card0.Amixer.values.txt > > ** Attachment added: "Card0.Codecs.codec.0.txt" > http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35780761/Card0.Codecs.codec.0.txt > > ** Attachment added: "CurrentDmesg.txt" > http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35780763/CurrentDmesg.txt > > ** Attachment added: "Dependencies.txt" > http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35780764/Dependencies.txt > > ** Attachment added: "PciMultimedia.txt" > http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35780765/PciMultimedia.txt > > ** Attachment added: "XsessionErrors.txt" > http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35780766/XsessionErrors.txt > > -- Flash player will not install States "the package may be corrupted or > you > are not allowed to op... > > -- > Flash player will not install States "the package may be corrupted or you > are not allowed to open the file" ? > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/484146 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > > Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu: New > > Bug description: > No sound from rhythmbox either just get a crack from the speakers? > > ProblemType: Bug > Architecture: i386 > AudioDevicesInUse: > USER PID ACCESS COMMAND > /dev/snd/controlC0: graeme 1640 F.... pulseaudio > /dev/snd/controlC1: graeme 1640 F.... pulseaudio > Card0.Amixer.info <http://card0.amixer.info/>: > Card hw:0 'Intel'/'HDA Intel at 0xd7cf4000 irq 16' > Mixer name : 'C-Media CMI9880' > Components : 'HDA:434d4980,813d1043,00090002' > Controls : 21 > Simple ctrls : 12 > Card1.Amixer.info <http://card1.amixer.info/>: > Card hw:1 'Camera'/' USB2.0 1.3MP UVC Camera at usb-0000:00:1d.7-4, high > speed' > Mixer name : 'USB Mixer' > Components : 'USB04f2:a133' > Controls : 2 > Simple ctrls : 1 > Card1.Amixer.values: > Simple mixer control 'Mic',0 > Capabilities: cvolume cvolume-joined cswitch cswitch-joined > Capture channels: Mono > Limits: Capture 0 - 3328 > Mono: Capture 0 [0%] [18.00dB] [on] > CheckboxCommand: alsa_record_playback > CheckboxDescription: > Pair a Bluetooth headset with your system.
