It is a bit pointless to use a fancy GUI music manager when you still
have to maintain the integrity of your library folder yourself.

If the tracks are sorted into folders by artist and album, those folders
should update to reflect any changes in the metadata of the tracks
themselves. If this is not the case, you end up with a directory
structure that is inaccurate and misleading.

Perhaps it is a product of people coming from Windows, expecting to be
able to organise their music in the same way. I don't buy that though.

Supposedly, Amerok organises your library. Banshee certainly does.
In addition, so to iTunes and WMP11.

Rhythmbox is missing a rather common feature.
