For me, running Ubuntu 9.10 x86_64 with the 32-bit flash player plugin "and" Compiz effects make this bug happened. If you deactivate compiz, the plugins works properly. See: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1293921 I hope this will be corrected soon.
