In Jaunty SSHD and SMBD started in less than 20 seconds, now they both
take over 45 seconds.

I've tried the following:
1. Upgrading to GRUB 2.
2. Disabling unused services.
3. Changing CONCURRENCY=none to CONCURRENCY=startpar in /etc/init.d/rc

Nothing has helped.
I'm booting from a 500 GB SATAII 7200rpm disk with ext4.
