Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Hello, I have createive 5.1 on ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala. After pure formatting the drive I've installed it. I have these serious problem: 1. my center speaker is somehow switched with rear left - and I am not able to switch it correctly (except changing wires:)) - I see no gui or config (except daemon.conf value default-channel-map - which takes no effect for pulseaudio -k; pulseaudio -vvvv) 2. my right repro (rear and front) stutter, they switch on and off maybe 2 times a second (I have tried to set default-fragment-size-msec to 24, but nothing) 3. I see no gui for contolling volume of sound (each speaker individually) - in sound preferences - output: I see some ballance (left/right - nice), fade - what is this? and subwoofer (when I move with subwoofer - whole output volume is changing and vice versa; except that moving subwoofer behind the center value makes my mp3 sounds like a tin or metal plate); also Subwoofer value is influenced by my mouse media key for controlling sound - it should control only output volume not subwoofer with it I have these values in system: home .asoundrc pcm.ch51dup { type route slave.pcm surround51 slave.channels 6 ttable.0.0 1 ttable.1.1 1 ttable.0.2 1 ttable.1.3 1 ttable.0.4 0.5 ttable.1.4 0.5 ttable.0.5 0.5 ttable.1.5 0.5 } /etc/pulse/daemon.conf (even I have modified each... still not working) high-priority = yes nice-level = -11 realtime-scheduling = yes realtime-priority = 5 resample-method = speex-float-1 flat-volumes = no default-sample-format = s16le default-sample-rate = 44100 default-sample-channels = 6 default-channel-map = front-left,front-right,rear-left,rear-right,front-center,lfe default-fragments = 4 default-fragment-size-msec = 24 /etc/rc.local echo Setting 5.1 Channel volumes... amixer -q set Master 100% unmute amixer -q set PCM 60% unmute amixer -q set Surround 100% unmute amixer -q set "Surround Jack Mode" "Independent" amixer -q set Center 81% unmute amixer -q set LFE 100% unmute amixer -q set "Mic" 100% mute amixer -q set "Duplicate Front" mute exit 0 ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- pulseaudio 5.1: stutter, switched speakers,no gui for speakers.... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/482709 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
