Same problem here. I just upgraded from jaunty. Now with 9.10 I first get the Ubuntu logo (guess for some reason Ubuntu now boots a bit like Vista). Then I get a text screen which waits for a very long time and after that I get the "normal" ubunto boot screen (with the kind of nightrider bar to tell you something is happening). After that screen, the logon screen takes a wile to display correctly. Also, when I plug in an external HD, the system does not boot at all, but I had the same problem with Jaunty. I gues this is because I have installed (and run) Ubunto on an external drive. So booting gets more and more frustrating when I upgrade (starting with Jaunty with the usb drive boot problem). Of course, when it has booted its a great OS. -- Really slow boot after 9.04 to 9.10 upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/465148 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
