in karmic ubuntu: pdfimages creates a ppm file containing all the images in the
pdf file instead of one image in each ppm file. This takes up exceptional
amounts of space. Also, using -j did not create any JPGs. I have attached a
tar.gz file containing the pdf file and the first 2 (out of over 300) ppm
files. Also, I have the poppler-utils package installed but not the xpdf
package installed.
PS the command line instruction that I used was: pdfimages -j
BobbyFischerTeachesChess.pdf BF.
