Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Using Karmic I tried to suspend my laptop - screen locks but then
nothing happens. Unlock screen - no error messages warnings or
anything.

Try again, same happens.

A quick look in pm-suspend.log and found the following:

Initial commandline parameters:
Wed Nov 11 23:39:47 GMT 2009: Running hooks for hibernate.
/usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/000record hibernate hibernate: kernel update inhibits
hibernate (/var/run/do-not-hibernate present)
Returned exit code 1.
Wed Nov 11 23:39:47 GMT 2009: Inhibit found, will not perform hibernate

Shouldn't gnome remove the Hibernate option in such case, or at least
inform the user why hibernate failed?

Not sure if this is under the right package - sorry if it should be
elsewhere.

** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
