confirmed on a IBM x60t. With compiz on, either "detect monitors" in the Display Menu, or Fn+F7 (switch screen on IBMs) freezes the screen while the system continus to run for a while (had a skype conversation continuing for some minutes).
With compiz off, everything runs as expected. When trying to turn on compiz with an external monitor active, the "appereance" Menu of gnome says that visual effects could not be activated. When trying to switch on compiz by the fusion-icon, it freezes again. We need a fix for that. Nearly as annoying as the tablet screen rotation bug with compiz back then. -- intel graphics laptop crashes with external monitor https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/465318 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
